iPhone OS 3.0 to Loosen Restriction on the AppStore?

We have often criticized Apple about its weird selection criteria to accept or not an application on the AppStore. So far, any applications or games with some violence, slang or erotism are completely forbidden.Things might evolve with the release of iphone 3.0 as Apple should introduce within the new iTunes a parental system defining access into 4+, 9+, 12+ and 17+ categories. The lack of the 21+ category, not surprisingly, indicates that Apple does not plan to authorize porno applications on its AppStore. The team in charge of validating application submissions or not will then be able to be a bit more flexible as the classification into category will allow them to define contents. Adult-oriented applications are expected to generate substantial revenuers.
