iPhone to cost under €100 in Spain, has video, GPS

Remember the Times report which claimed the 3G iPhone will cost £100 in the UK, as it's to be subsidised? Now comes a new report which adds weight to that earlier speculation. Telefonica SA's Movistar brand will be the sole distributor of the iPhone in Spain, the company revealed last night. Local Spanish press reports claim the new device will be sold for under €100 to customers prepared to sign a 24-36-month contract with the company. The report - straight outta Madrid and carried by Thomson Financial - also informs: "The Spanish telecom group will sell the third generation of the iPhone, which has a video camera and GPS."
