AP launching iPhone news service

A news service just about iPhones?  No, but if you like to read your news on the iPhone, you now have another option (besides Fox News*).   The Mobile content format isn't just for the iPhone (and iPod Touch).  It will be available as a format for other portable web browsers, though it is hard to imagine the format will look as good on regular smartphones. AP had announced the Mobile News Network at its annual meeting April 14 in Washington. AP's president and chief executive, Tom Curley, said then that six newspaper companies were working to help develop the new service.
