Looking back, I should have known that I would end up working in science and technology. As a kid, I loved exploring how things worked -- from mixing different colors and type of soaps in the sink to taking apart our radio. My favorite Christmas gift was the chemistry set shown above. I also loved playing outside, with some of my fondest memories coming from the time a tree fell down in our back yard during a hurricane. I turned it into an imaginary wooden ship!
