Apple Store refurbs speed up as new iPhone launch looms

It appears that Apple is moving quickly to get many of its retail outlets looking their best before the new iPhone appears in a few weeks. MacRumors is reporting that a number of stores are being renovated at the current time to bring them up to the latest standards of the store design. The renovations don't take a tremendous amount of time. The stores are closed for about a week, with the usual black construction barriers covering the windows and notices pointing potential customers to the nearest Apple Store and Apple's website.
