Microsoft Lync for Mac goes gold

The first version of Lync for Mac has been released to manufacturing, Microsoft says. The software is an enterprise-oriented conferencing tool, on a basic level offering Messenger-style instant messaging with configurable groups and status messages. Availability can be set manually or triggered using calendar data or login status.
