Apple may need iPad sales to ban Galaxy Tab in Australia

Apple might have to produce its real iPad sell-through data from the UK and US to help justify a longer-term preliminary Australian ban on Galaxy Tab 10.1s. Sydney Federal Court Justice Annabelle Bennett stated that Apple would need evidence the iPad was being genuinely hurt by the Samsung tablet's sales in the two countries. Unusually, Bloomberg noted, Samsung wanted to show that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 wasn't doing well enough in those countries to have a meaningful impact on iPad sales.
