Macnification 2 debuts for microscopy, expands compatibility

Orbicule has released Macnification version 2.0, a major upgrade that adds compatibility with hundreds of cameras, including most still-image cameras, Firewire-compatible movie cameras and some USB-compatible cameras. The new version has been rebuilt specifically for Snow Leopard and Lion, leveraging Core Animation, Core Image, QuickLook, Spotlight, Core Data, QuickTime and other OS X technologies, including Grand Central Dispatch. The software enables users to capture, analyze, organize and publish microscopic images.
