Apple wins rights to 16 new US patents

Apple has won 16 new patents through the US Patent and Trademark Office, says Patently Apple. These cover a variety of different fields, one notable example however being Switched Capacitor Projection Scan Multi-Touch Sensor Array. The document describes technology needed to build touch sensors into a single surface of a touch substrate, a design concept essential to Apple's handhelds.
