Amazon Student app for iOS targets college shoppers

Amazon has released a new app for iOS, Amazon Student. The title is meant to attract people to the vendor's Student program, which offers college-goers special discounts such as free Amazon Prime shipping for six months. The app's main feature is a barcode scanner, which compares a retail store's prices against those offered by Amazon.
