Apple wins patents on iOS rotation, 10 other concepts

Apple has won the rights to 12 new US patents, documents show. The two most significant of these may be Screen rotation gestures on a portable multifunction device and Portrait-landscape rotation heuristics for a portable multifunction device. One covers the two-fingered rotation gestures in iOS, while the second describes control of the automatic screen rotation Apple handhelds use.
