Accessory maker iHome is offering the iD9 portable, rechargeable speaker system -- designed specifically for the (original) iPad along with current iPhone and iPod Touch models that doubles as a charging station when plugged in, and works on batteries when no AC power is available. Featuring simple controls, and optional remote, an adapter for the iPad 2 and other design considerations, we set out to discover if this portable speaker can handle the highs and lows, and is it really as portable as iHome claims, in our review.
