Apple 'looking into' legal status of DUI checkpoint apps

Apple is "looking into" whether or not it should pull DUI checkpoint apps from the App Store, according to the company's VP of software technology, Guy Tribble. Tribble spoke yesterday during a US Senate subcommittee on mobile privacy. Beyond concerns about location data, the VP was also brought to task over DUI apps by Senator Charles Schumer.
