One month after the Windows release, the MIT Media Lab and the Singapore-based MIT Gambit Game Lab has released Improviso, a free online improv game that puts players into a low-budget sci-fi movie to help develop better artificial intelligence (AI) for future games. The game records, aggregates and analyzes players' actions as part of its research. Players act out major roles and can add sound effects, music and props such as tanks or flying saucers.
