Apple works to stop devs from inflating app rankings

Apple appears to be enforcing a strict interpretation of its iOS developer agreement, helping to prevent developers from using misleading methods to inflate app rankings. A number of apps have been met with rejection notices from Apple, as the company found many titles to be in violation of the App Store Review Guidelines. The issue is believed to involve apps that offer incentives, such as in-game currency, if a user installs and opens one of the developer's other apps.
