Amazon has restored API access for the popular Lendle e-book lending service after an outcry from its users. Amazon sent notice to Lendleís developers that it was in violation of its APIís and that as Lendle does not "serve the principal purpose of driving sales of products and services on the Amazon site,î its access had been revoked. According to a report by TNW, numerous users had indicated that the reason that they had purchased as many books through Amazon as they had was because they had been introduced to titles through the Lendle service.
