Mariner Software has updated its creative-writing software StoryMill to version 4, bringing a raft of improvements to simplify the writing experience, allow writers to work in whatever order they desire and more easily compare drafts. The program sports a streamlined interface that allows users to attach visual aids (like photos) to scenes, a distraction-free full-screen writing environment, a new "novel view" that shows the entire story in whole or sections for easy viewing and printing and several other new or improved features.
