Some Apple TV owners are already reporting a problem with the v4.2 firmware, released just yesterday. Affected users will see images periodically flicker, or even drop out entirely. Both menus and videos will display the glitch, and TV brand appears to be irrelevant; Sony, Hitachi, Panasonic, Samsung and Toshiba sets are among those mentioned in Apple's support forums.
