Spiderweb Software, who are winding down their previous epic fantasy game series with the release of Avernum 6, have begun a new indie fantasy role-playing game in a similar "retro" style. In Avadon: The Black Fortress, players are agents of Avadon, a land under threat from a collection of various enemies: barbarians, fading empires, titans and monsters. The game features four different character classes and a unique, enormous world to explore.
