A developer beta of Mac OS X Lion should begin "soon," a TechCrunch report claims, citing inside information. The site moreover notes that Apple Lion testing appears to have surged in recent weeks, as much a larger number of Lion hits is being recorded in server logs. Numbers first peaked in the crossover from August to September, but then settled down until the current rush.
