More than just the antenna placement and iOS software changed for the version of the iPhone sold by Verizon, a new Apple support document has revealed. Apart from the ability to turn on a personal hotspot, the Verizon iPhone handles a few dialling and management items differently than the GMS-based AT&T iPhone 4 -- for example, Verizon's network doesn't let you put a call on hold. Other differences include variations on call forwarding, call waiting, Caller ID, conference calls and inserting pauses when dialling (for some automated systems).
