Verizon iPhone sales decent, not 'blowout,' says analyst

The first day of Verizon iPhone sales showed decent results, even if there wasn't "blowout" demand, notes RBC Capital Markets' Mike Abramsky. The analyst mentions that checks with 40 Verizon retail stores -- scattered across cities like Boston, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Miami -- showed no evidence of sellouts, although some said they might run out by the end of the day. The numbers of people in line "appeared smaller than those for the AT&T iPhone 4 last year, but demand was steady though the day."
