Oregon-based 3D software makers E-on Software have announced immediate availability of of Ozone v5, its atmospheric plug-in for various 3D programs including 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, Cinema4D and Lightwave. The new version adds support for V-Ray rendering as well as additional support for MentalRay rendering. Ozone's own rendering has been given a substantial boost through further optimization, and the program includes a library of over 150 pre-existing atmospheres 3D artists can use as a starting point for creating their own realistic skyscapes.
