Apple allowing service on iPods with tripped liquid sensors

Apple should be allowing warranty repairs on iPods even in some cases where the liquid contact indicator (LCI) has been tripped, documents found by a French website show. The LCI is a small sensor located in an iPod's headphone jack, sometimes used to disqualify a player from repairs. Apple terms normally invalidate warranties in cases where a device has been exposed to water or some other fluid.
