New iOS 4.3 beta returns the "screen lock" switch function

The control, originally created for iPad users, is now handled by a setting that allows users to choose whether to use the hardware switch for muting or for screen orientation. The change was unpopular with iPad owners, though orientation locking was still accessible via software.
