Apple has at last launched the Mac App Store, making the platform accessible via the Mac OS X 10.6.6 update. Over 1,000 titles are available so far, including individual programs in Apple's iLife '11 suite, which cost $15 apiece. Programs in the iWork suite are more expensive despite the lack of a recent update, tagged at $20 each. Buying Aperture 3 costs $80.
