Online Mac dealer Other World Computing (OWC) has brought out a selection of solid-state drives (SSDs) using the Sandforce processor, under the Mercury brand name specifically aimed at giving new life to older Mac models. Models include the Legacy Pro aimed at pre-Intel PowerPC Macs, Windows PCs and other laptops that utilize a standard 2.5-inch IDE form factor; the Aura Pro Express specifically for the MacBook Air 2010 models, and the Extreme Pro Legacy Edition for pre-Intel PowerPC Macs, Windows PCs and other desktop computers that use the 3.5-inch IDE form factor.
