Use of the Facebook iPhone app has shot significantly upwards since Christmas, statistics indicate. While growth was relatively normal between the 24th and the 25th, active app users jumped by 397,928 between the 25th and the 26th to hit 56,332,588. The figure for the 27th is over 57.3 million as of this writing, representing a spike of about 975,000.
