Roku CEO credits sales boost to new Apple TV

The release of the second-generation Apple TV actually spurred sales of Roku media set-tops, says Roku's CEO, Anthony Wood. The executive claims that Roku sales in fact doubled when the new Apple TV shipped in late September, despite Apple being a heavyweight capable of marginalizing competition. Apple's involvement is said to have drawn attention to Roku's products, which can offer some advantages like 1080p content and/or support for Hulu Plus.
