Worldwide chip market expected to top $303 billion in 2011

The worldwide market for the semiconductor is expected to grow next year with revenues increasing by 9 percent year-over-year, according to a report. Research firm IDC says that this will take the total worldwide revenues for microchip sales to $303 billion, up from $276 billion in 2010. IDC also estimate that by 2015, the semiconductor market will grow to $380 billion.
