Clearwire on Thursday shipped its Clear Modem with Wi-Fi. It will let users link their Wi-Fi devices to Clear's 4G network from a relatively static area like a home or office, offering wireless download speeds of between 3 and 6Mbps, with bursts as fast as 10Mbps. Local connections are shared over 802.11n Wi-Fi, although Clear hasn't said how many devices can sign on at the same time.
