AT&T says HSPA+ network 80 percent done, mobile data slowing

AT&T's HSPA+ upgrade is now covering about 80 percent of its network, CTO John Donovan said at the Sencha Conference late Tuesday. The news makes the network almost complete and supports the company's claims of reaching 250 million potential users by the end of 2010. It was originally planned to run at 14.4Mbps but in many cases should run at up to 21Mbps.
