Coiner of 'net neutrality' sees Apple as primary threat

Apple is the next candidate for a new information monopoly, says Tim Wu, a Columbia law professor specializing in communications and copyright law. Wu is best known for inventing the term "network neutrality," used to refer to the principle that Internet service providers and other companies should treat all Internet traffic equally. In terms of broader information monopolies, however, Wu says that he now fears Apple the most.
