Mac OS 10.6.5 addresses lengthy list of security flaws

Mac OS 10.6.5, released earlier in the day, includes a long list of fixes designed to address security vulnerabilities. Apple has improved its AFP network protocol with new validation and error signaling, while the password server has been corrected to prevent users from logging in with outdated passwords. CoreText and CoreGraphics have also been tweaked to address a security flaw related to malicious PDF files.
