Early Windows Phone 7 apps twice as expensive as on iPhone

An early look at the first wave of Windows Phone 7 apps by O'Reilly has shown that they typically cost much more than on the iPhone. With 1,400 apps now in Windows Phone Marketplace, the mean price for a WP7 app is $6.16, or about 80 percent higher than the $3.43 on an iPhone. A higher ratio of apps are free on WP7, at 22 percent free versus just 10 percent on the iPhone, but the cost is almost always significantly higher when paid.
