AAPL rises to second-largest stock, surpassing PetroChina

Apple temporarily took the second position among the world's biggest companies, as gauged by market value. Shares of AAPL stock briefly rose above $292, bringing Apple's market value up to $267.5 billion, as noted in a Bloomberg report. The climbing share price early in the day brought Apple slightly ahead of PetroChina and second only to Exxon Mobile.
