Sony dipped into gaming audio today with a pair of over-ear headsets with a pair of new features. Topping these, the DR-GA500 has an external audio processor that decodes 7.1-channel surround sound with Dolby Pro Logic IIx to create the surround effect without elaborate drivers. The extra positioning is potentially helpful for first-person shooters, racers and other games where sound awareness matters.
