Analysts renew call for Verizon iPhone; now by early 2011?

Two prominent analysts have again called for a Verizon iPhone in the near future, Barron's notes. Perhaps the most significant claim belongs to Barclays Capital analyst Ben Reitzes, who says that "checks" indicate production of a CDMA iPhone will likely begin in the fourth quarter of the year, with actual delivery taking place in early 2011. Estimates suggest that as many as 9 million Verizon iPhones could be sold that year.
