The launch of the Palm Pre was a flop in the market that Sprint is hoping to build on, the network's prepaid head Dan Schulman admitted in an investor's conference on Monday. He acknowledged that Palm's phone "didn't work out as well as we hoped" and blamed some of it on the supply issues for the Pre, which kept stock low even from launch and left many customers either getting another Sprint phone or turning to an alternative like the iPhone.
