Apple has begun testing a new beta interface for MobileMe Mail, the company's webmail app. To participate in the beta, people must log into Mail, then click "request an invitation." One of the most immediate differences is the option of three views: classic retains an old-style layout, while compact hides folders, and widescreen displays more of a message. The widescreen view mimics the look of the iPad's native Mail app.
