Digital Point has launched Phone Home, a new tracking-software that allows users to pinpoint the location of stolen or lost Macs. The app is designed to run unnoticed in the background and is capable of providing information on lost Macs such as the physical location within a few miles, and the IP address that is currently in use. In times that the computer is stolen, users can subpoena the internet service provider to find out what person owns the IP address that the computer is currently connected to.
