e-on Software has released Vue 8.5, an upgrade to its professional line of 3D rendering software. The program allows developers to animate, render and generate natural 3D environments, as well as populate them with vegetation and weather effects. New features include interactive cloud control, new terrain sculpting tools, and the ability to control both input and output gammas, as well as gamma used for displaying textures. With new zone extraction tools developers can now extract specific areas of procedural terrain, one zone at a time.
