MacNN has reviewed two prominent iPad apps: The Elements: A Visual Exploration by Touch Press, and PCalc for iPad, by TLA. The Elements is a new interpretation of a paper book, enhanced in several ways for electronic form. Readers can for instance look at rotating and animated images of each chemical, and load extra information from online sources such as WolframAlpha.
