This one slipped under many a radar, but if you were listening to the iPad presentation during the accesories rundown at the end, you caught that the iPad is also a Digital Picture Frame as well. You activate it from the lock screen with an icon to the right of unlock slider. You can then play any of the slideshows you've set up in the photos app.
