When digging into its stats, Macrumors identified Mac OS X 10.7 OS at the end of October.
We retrospectively looked our own stats on Macbidouille/Hardmac, and could also indentify Mac OS X 10.7 Intel visitors.
As one can relatively easily modify the tag on browsers, we dug deeper to identify the origin and location of such traffic. The result made us thinking that this was not hoax: IPs belonged to pool owned by Apple Computer Inc., and some of them to UCSD and Comcast. So, of course, Apple might create some Easter eggs on purpose, however, there is also nothing surprising of having engineers working on the next OS version 12 or 18 months prior its release.
