Imagination Technologies is a key company for Apple: it provides the graphical chips used in iPhone 3GS. To illustrate how it is for Cupertino, Apple bought shares from Imagination Technologies and now hold about 10% of its value.the company announced new products, one of them will most likely end up in the iPhone 4G: the POWERVR SGX545. This new chips supports DirectX10.1 but more importantly for Apple Open GL3.2, OpenGL ES 2.x and even Open CL 1.0. The chips is clocked at 200 MHz and could generate up to 40 millions polygons per second.
