If 2009 was the year of Indilix Barefoot controller, 2010 might well be dominated by the SandForce controller that will be installed on all OCZ high-end SSD models. This is not really surprising when looking at performance of those 2 controllers, Indilix had to postpone the availability of the successor of its BArefoot. The Vertex 2 should arrive in March. It will make use of the on-the-fly compression technology integrated in the SandForce. It can then reduce the amount of cells needed and further increase their average lifetime.
