While it has been announced for months, the Intel SSD X25-V is finally available in shops.
As a reminder, this SSD of 40 GB offer 170 MB/S in reading mode, but only 40 MB/s in writing mode, however, it delivers excellent random writing performances for less than 100 €. While the SSD was originally marketed by Kingston, the company did not really promote it, and Intel decided to directly manage distribution channels.
