Apple tonight will officially introduce the iPhone into Israel, ending two years of delay and chasing thousands of sales of jailbroken/unlocked/grey market iPhones in the country.
The device officially launches in Israel at midnight on Wednesday, “with a party set to last through the night,” according to local reports.
Two networks will offer the iPhone: Cellcom and Pelephone, hosts of tonight’s iPhone launch do (along with iDigital).
Sales begin at one minute after midnight, with purchasers required to visit specific sales points if they want to pick one up.
There’s been no announcement yet as to the cost of the device in Israel, but the country is understood to have been hungry for grey market models with thousands already in use there. It will be interes
