Psystar, caught between deception and megalomania
Since its last legal defeat vis-a-vis Apple the future of Psystar has become increasingly more dubious. This is even more true if the figure of 768 machines sold is real. One has to say: all this fuss for so little? In spite of these vexations, Psystar likes to see itself already as the Dell or the Apple of tomorrow. Their business plan, let us say, is optimistic. In the worst case, they envisage to sell 1,45 million machines in 2011. In the best case, they hope to run out 12 million of them… These figures are… optimistic, and more than certainly unrealistic. Indeed, if Psystar managed to force Apple to license Mac OS X, they would have had the role of a detonator, but no more than that.
